Weekly Update 3/1/09

Greetings! I hope that you are keeping dry on this rainy Sunday.

It has been an especially busy Sunday for me as the anticipated weather both here and in New York is complicating the Upper School New York trip scheduled to leave in the morning. At this time is appears our
outgoing flight has been canceled. If you have a traveler in your family please check your email later in the day for announcements about Plan B.

In other weather related news for the week:

Soccer club will NOT start this week as originally scheduled as the fields will be soaked. We’ll start next week and either refund for cancellations at the end or schedule extra sessions.

Other clubs scheduled to start this week will do so.

Re-enrollment paperwork is due tomorrow - FINAL DATE before spaces are released-in the event of a weather cancellation all paperwork and/or tuition payments will be due upon our reopening.

The performance music class will only meet on Friday of this week (Group B).
Note - we are
in need of one more keyboard (specs needed: amp jack, minimum of 54 keys and touch sensitivity control). Please let me know if you have such a keyboard to donate or loan to the music program.

Other news:
Parents Nancy and Hank Eichin run a parent support group for young children with AD/HD. There is a similar group for parents of older students held in Raleigh. For more information about CHADD please go to www.CHADD.org. Click on the Triangle Chapter link for info about the session held at the Eichins. The next meeting is Saturday, March 7.

Those are the highlights for now. Be on the lookout for more!

Have a good week.

Best,

Thelma
