Weekly Update 3/22/09

Greetings and Happy Spring!

Congratulations to
senior Jonathan Monroe on his acceptance to New York University.

Thanks to our
marvelous faculty for an invigorating retreat. As parents we are especially fortunate to have this dedicated team of educators guiding our children. It is hugely rewarding to experience their enthusiasm and commitment to their students and to our school.

A huge
thanks to the parents for all of the wonderful food that was provided for Immersion Day. Students ate and ate - and still there were leftovers! It was a wonderful and fun day and we especially thank Ms Celia for coordinating it for us.

I know it is hard to believe but
Thursday is mid-semester! Mid-semester grades will be mailed to Middle and Upper School students by the end of next week.

Students in grades 2-11 are working on some
test prep activities before our annual standardized testing next week (April 1,2,3). Our students are more than ready for these tests content-wise but please help your student do his/her best by providing a good breakfast and ensuring a good night’s sleep.

Edu-Camp and summer school are starting to fill up. We have an open house next Sunday (March 29) and we anticipate a great deal of traffic for these programs. If you plan to have your student attend either one of these programs you should sign up as soon as possible - both programs filled with a wait list last year.

I hope that you have a great week.

Best,

Thelma
