Report from FLL Coach Chris on Triangle Sumobots 2013...

All who attended the Triangle SumoBots 2013 at the Museum of Life and Science had a great deal of fun. It was a smashing success. We had 90 students forming 24 teams. Most were from Holly Grove Middle School, Triangle Math & Science Academy and Camelot Academy. Two Camelot teams, Sir Sutton (Owen Stephens and LM Fountain) and The SPARKS, made it into the final round. The SPARKS (Malachi Son, Evan MacDonald, and Ryan Rusconi-Warner) finished in Third Place and won a LEGO Sumo trophy!

We had lots of help from our Camelot Parents including the direct participation of Bob Sutton (Morning MC), Bob Radcliffe (Timer), Chris Rusconi (Afternoon MC), TJ Johnson(Cat Herder), and Becky Wilkes (Friday Night Set-up and Gopher).
FLL Coaches Robyn Stephens and Amanda Fox - along with Coach Chris - once again provided terrific leadership and support leading up to and during this event.  Thank you to all!

The Second Edition of Broken Silence - our school Literary Magazine - is ready for viewing online.  Check out the amazing artwork and creative writing from our youngest members to our seniors - I believe that you will be quite impressed! Many thanks to faculty sponsor Erin Grady and to student staff Zachariah Claypole White and Virginia Hill.
