We have an embarrassment of riches in the Good News Department this
week.....
Congratulations to senior Eva Sutton on both her acceptance to Eckerd
College and her $70,000 Presidential Scholarship Merit Award to
Albright College. Also, congratulations to senior Will Cunningham on
his acceptance to Marymount Manhattan College.
Heartfelt joy extends to junior Zachariah Claypole White for the
feature about him in the current edition of Durham Magazine - see link
under "News" on our home page here:
Kudos to sophomore Lyn Mattox on earning a Gold Certificate on the
Level 2 National German Exam for High School - scoring in the 96th
percentile!
Way to go, Knights! Although we lost our final game on Friday - it was
a cliffhanger. Thanks to everyone who turned out to support the team
and to celebrate senior Tate Arges' final game as a Camelot Knight.
Thank you, also, for the great turnout at the Pie Supper. Many thanks
to Ms Wendy for her calm and expert management of dinner for 250 and to
the wonderful parent crew she had helping: Leah Goldsmith and Robyn
Stephens who did all of the shopping and Will Harrison, Paula Edelson,
Kim Holt, Martha MacNair, Jenny Jones, Carol Reiter, Tammy Northern,
Angela Fountain, Sonya Fischer and Cathy Parker for helping with the set up,
serving and clean up. Thanks, also, to teachers Denise Mannette, Liz Benda,
Amanda Fox, Erin Grady and Michelle Banal for their oversight of the Lower School
projects that were on display and to Lori Hilliard for organizing the AP Environmental
trinkets sale to support the upcoming student dance.
