Greetings! I hope you are enjoying the wonderful spring weather.
Thank you to the jazz band for representing our school so well at Artsplosure yesterday. When our fabulous drummer, David Achin, suffered a broken toe and emergency surgery on Friday this group pitched in to see that the show went on - despite a bad break (bad pun intended). Special thanks to teacher Dan Hill for stepping in to make his jazz drumming debut and saving the day - and also for the use of his house and his equipment on Friday night for an impromptu rehearsal. Also, thanks to band director Glenn Mehrbach for his expertise in making everyone feel confident in spite of the changes. Kudos to band members Channing Pascone, Rita Glynn, Edwin Leskin and Camille Leeds - and their families - for pulling together in this tough situation. GREAT JOB!
