Greetings!
Kudos to senior Amber Rogers who has been accepted to the University of Tennessee and to Ryan Siebens who has been accepted to Guilford College with a Presidential Scholarship of 20K per year for four years!
Congratulations to our Camelot Knights who won BOTH games they played last week!
Congrats to Ms. Michelle who has finished her graduate program and been awarded Elementary Ed certification…and welcome back!
Middle Grades students continue with their exams this week.
Upper School students brought home exam review sheets for parent signatures this weekend. Please return all of them (one per subject) tomorrow. Thanks to Mr. Dan for getting the January exam schedule on our website under “Forms & Handouts.”
This week has a lot going on as we ring out 2011….
Starting Monday, Morning Meetings will include the Camelot tradition of Holidays Around the World. Each morning we will welcome a different speaker to tell us about the way the season is celebrated elsewhere in the world. On Friday, our performing groups will take the stage for a preview of their holiday show at Southpoint Mall next Sunday.
The Lower School bake sale to benefit Birthday Wishes will continue this week. Jr MAPP students will now have a turn bringing in baked goods, and practicing the real-world math that comes with selling and making change! Thanks to everyone for the terrific support of this endeavor.
On Wednesday, many of the high school Upper School students will be traveling to the Playmakers’ production of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”
Wednesday is also the deadline for lunch orders for the week that we return in January.
Thursday there will be no Yearbook Club – Ms Judith will be out of town.
Friday is Spirit Day – dress for the holidays and let’s set a festive tone!
Sunday, December 18, our performing groups take the stage at Southpoint Mall. I hope to see you all at 2 PM in the center courtyard between Nordstrom’s and Santa Claus.
School will be closed from December 19-January 3 for Winter Break. Students return on Wednesday, January 4.
I wish you and your family a safe and happy holiday season and a Happy New Year. I look forward to all of the good times we'll share in 2012.
Have a great week and a great break!
Best,
