Greetings!
I look forward to seeing everyone today at the Fall Festival – from 3- 5 PM. Thanks to the planning of Ms Denise we’ll have games, food, prizes and more for our students and their invited guests. The bounce house and dunk house promise to be hits - thanks to Mr Mike for spending much of yesterday getting it all set up. We’ll have pizza from Mellow Mushroom - thanks to Greg Glynn for setting this up as an additional fundraiser for the school. We still need cakes and baked good for the cake walk! Students may wear their costumes although they should limit accessories that need to be carried so that they will have free hands for fun! Thanks, in advance, to all of the parents who have volunteered to help set up (2 PM), run activities (3-5 PM) and clean up (5 PM-) – we could not do it without you! Overflow parking has been arranged at Learning Services (the big white building at the corner of Morehead and Vickers) and there is a new parallel parking lane that has been created in front of the school on Vickers.
Welcome to our newest student, Upper Schooler AJ Paolmar, and his family! We look forward to all that he will contribute in the classroom and in the band! We said good-bye this week to our visiting student from Germany, Kyra Riederer. She and the Upper School vocal band brought us all to tears with her farewell serenade in Morning Meeting on Thursday.
Thanks to parents and Lego Robotics leaders Robyn Stephens and Chris Wilkes who led our team to a scrimmage this weekend. Also, thanks to parents Bob Sutton and Liz and Brian Lord who were of great assistance.
