Greetings!
Congrats to the Camelot Knights for their win versus YT Christian on Friday. The team has a heavy schedule this week. We are proud of their hard work and dedication and most appreciative of the commitment from their parents.
THANK YOU, again, for the outpouring of support and sympathy for Celia and her family. I have just had a call from her husband and Celia will stay on in Chicago a while longer. I have communicated options regarding the Costa Rica trip and the Spanish final exams and expect to hear back from her in the next day or so with how she wants to proceed. I will then send a separate email to Middle and Upper School families with this information. As all of us who have lost a loved one know, the sudden lull in activity after the funeral can be particularly hard. Celia is with her mother and extended family right now and I know we all hope that this will provide her the support and love needed to get through this very difficult time.
As you are aware, the coming week is the last week of the semester. Please read the following for important details in navigating the week well.
Monday - January 12 - Upper School - Exam Review Day.
Basketball away game- players leave Camelot at 4:30 PM.
Tuesday, January 13 - Honor Roll Day/Upper School Optional Reading Day (some students may be excused from exam review by their teachers - check assignment notebooks).
Basketball team is OFF.
Wednesday, January 14 - Friday, January 16 - Upper School Exams
Wednesday - January 14 - Basketball Away Game (4 PM). Players leave Camelot at 2:45 PM.
Thursday, January 15- First Re-enrollment deadline
Friday, January 16 - SCHOOL CLOSED AT NOON (for all grades).
NOTE - Optional Care available until 5:30 PM.
Basketball luncheon and field trip followed by basketball Home Game 4 PM
Monday, January 19 - School Closed in Observance of MLK Day
Tuesday, January 20-21 - Special Session
Tuesday, January 20 - 5:30 PM - Pie Supper - details were mailed home.
Wednesday, January 22 - Special Session
Thursday, January 23 - Second Semester begins!
CLUBS!
This is the last week for all First Semester Club with the following exceptions:
Clay Club - will have its last meeting NEXT FRIDAY (January 23) since they do not meet this week.
MATHCOUNTS AND NEWSLETTER - will continue on without interruption. Participants will be billed for afterschool fees for the five weeks before the start of Second Semester Clubs.
YEARBOOK club will launch on Tuesday, January 27 and participants will be billed as above.
The rest of the NEW CLUBS will launch the week of February 23.
