Announcements:
This week is a highlight of the school year - Thursday is Immersion Day! Students in grades K-4 will be immersing themselves in the past when they participate in the culmination of their study of the medieval period with a mini medieval festival. Remember to send your student in a costume fit for the day as per the letter that was sent home by the teachers. Meanwhile, Middle and Upper School students will be examining everything from the Cherokee Culture to the Philippines as they participate in a day of special presentations. Students are encouraged to come dressed in the costume of another culture. Please remember that activities for all grades conclude at noon, pick up is between 12 and 1 PM and school closes at 1 PM on Thursday. There is no school on Friday in recognition of Good Friday and the Easter holiday. (Note - to accommodate all of this activity, lunch orders will be sent home on Tuesday and collected on Wednesday this week.)
Mid-Semester Grades and Warnings have been mailed. All Warnings need to be signed and returned to the office this week.
Monday/Wednesday after school art with Stephen Hayes has concluded. Stephen is now heading to Atlanta to start his Master’s Degree program in art. We are deeply appreciative for all that he has added to our community.
This week a flyer will come home with the last round of after school offerings for this school year. These options will start after Spring Break and include spring soccer (for all ages - K-12!) and Lego Club. Please note that Mathcounts, drama club, volley ball and tennis continue through May.
We have made some changes to the May calendar - specifically the placement of Evening of the Arts, Spring Festival and Final Exams. Look for an updated calendar page in the mail.
Edu-Camp and summer school continue to fill at a rapid rate. The weeks of June 16 and August 11 are now full for Edu-Camp. Please see Wendy or Scott for sign-up information.
School Dates for 08-09!
Parent Orientation will be the evening of Monday, August 25.
